Trees On Earth, a green story


The first trees: Throughout History, plants developed in numerous occasions the arborescent form. Most have disappeared or changed, some have survived to this day, and many are very recent in the evolution history.

Species in movement: With time, trees, generation after generation, conquer new territories. Each tree stays in place; its population, however, travels.

Forest ecosystems... are the sum of the historic events that shaped them: continental drift, mass extinctions, ice ages. To understand of the present, we must decipher the past.

A renewed forest: Each year, natural disturbances in the forest get the best of thousands of trees. But the forest, which is adapted to those perturbations, regenerates and regains its balance.
